So I wanted to tell you a little story about my roommates. I share a room with Torey another study abroad student, my host sister Sarah and I recently discovered someone or something else. As you may know I have had a really hard time sleeping and as I lay awake at night I can here the pitter patter of many legs going across the mat above me. The first night I was terrified and shined my flashlight around all the corners of my bed. It has been several days and while I am still not happy about it I reasoned I am safe with my mosquito net firmly tucked under my mattress on all sides. Well yesterday morning I woke again early heard more scurrying around and decided it was time I confronted my unwelcome roommate. I turned my flashlight on and dove out of my safe cave of mosquito net shined my flashlight and discovered amazingly to my relief that it was only a three inch long cockroach. Hahahahah isn’t it amazing how finding a cockroach can be a blessing instead of finding a tarantula.
Well I can’t wait to write you all more about my adventures, on Saturday Torey and I learn how to wash our clothes in a bucket.
Please continue to pray for my health and safety, I just switched my malaria medicine in hopes of stopping the stomach aches, lightheadedness, and lack of sleep.
